Antifragility

Success is not born of constant rescue.

A system shielded from stress grows brittle,

unable to bend when the storms come.

It is not through intervention

but through struggle and adaptation

that true resilience is forged.

Complex systems, like life itself,

thrive when allowed to face the unexpected—

for each challenge shapes them,

makes them stronger, more prepared for the next.

Yet we are taught that intervention will save us,

that weakness must be propped up

lest the system fail.

But in truth, the more we meddle,

the more fragile the system becomes,

reliant on hands to hold it steady,

as cracks form beneath the surface.

The need for bailouts only grows,

and with each fix, the structure weakens further.

Bitcoin, like nature, thrives on adaptation.

Its strength lies in its participants—

miners, nodes, and users—

who meet each threat with innovation,

each challenge with resilience.

Through every trial, it grows more robust,

not in spite of the stress, but because of it.

The economy, too, is a complex system,

but under the weight of central control,

it grows fragile, unable to stand without support.

With each bailout, intervention, and loosening of monetary policy,

it drifts further from true independent resilience,

becoming ever more reliant on rescue

and ever more fragile in the face of disturbance.
